Huge thanks to everyone, customers and staff, who turned out on Sunday in the appalling weather. We had almost an inch of rain and if anyone suggests we are short of water then they must be crazy!
Entries were low, as you would expect, but they could have been half that number which would have been a disaster. Can we have the sunshine back please?
March 4th.
Ladies Shooting
Our decision to charge £15 for ladies to shoot at registered competitions has proved popular so we are continuing for the foreseeable future. This is a 'targets only' fee but the prize money contribution can be added. It eases the pain of entry fees for a couple who wish to shoot together in these trying times.

Christmas Opening
We are open for practice on Thursday, Friday and Saturday December 22nd., 23rd., 24th.
Again on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 29th., 30th., and 31st.
Our Christmas shoot is on TUESDAY 27th.

FITASC
August 28th is the Wiltshire Fitasc Championship.
Telephone entries are essential and the places are restricted so get a move on if you are thinking of entering.

Updates
I know some of you have questioned the lack of updates on this site. As of today we have a new provider and I can now input information - which was hit and miss before to say the least!

World Sporting
For those of you who have shot our two World Sporting competitions, your scores can be found on www.worldsporting.net
On September 24th./25th. we have the Southern Championships with £400 High Gun. Shoot either day, entries are restricted so book in to be sure of your place.

Fitasc World Championship
I'm sure some of you already know but George Parsons won the Super Vets category at the World Championships in Orville. This yet another trophy for the cabinet which includes European and World titles. Well done George!

Prize Fund
There have been rumblings that our £200 High Gun is going to the same few people every shoot and that the prize fund has suffered lower down the order. This being the case, from April all High Guns will be £150 but the prize fund will pay out a minimum of £800. This should ensure that places in the classes will increase as will the payouts.

Fixtures
Just a reminder - our next shoot on February 13th. is registered and not an open shoot. Some magazines have wrongly advertised it as open.

Skeet 2
Skeet is up and running as of today. Chris Turvey made a fantastic job of the skeet houses and the traps went in this morning. Prices are as before - £25/100
5th. October
Skeet
Due to popular demand we have put plans in place to build a skeet layout. It will be sited near the pool shoot and will be a useful addition to the ground. Expected completion date is the end of November.
June 23rd
Prize Money
High Gun prizes have been at £100 for years, this being the case we have decided to increase the High Gun prize at all our sporting shoots to £200 from August. The two Fitasc Championships will have a High Gun prize of £150. This will come from the shoot revenue and not the prize fund.

Wessex Sporting Grand Prix
On Sunday September 12th. we are holding the Wessex Sporting Grand Prix with a prize fund of over £2000. This shoot is being sponsored by Keith Forward of The Shooting Shop, Poole, and has a £250 High Gun with £100 first place in every class, including Juniors, Ladies, Vets. with payments down to fifth place. Put the date in your diary.
10th May
Open Shoots
From June, all open shoots at Wylye will feature £200 High Gun with 12 stands. Entry is £36 with re-entry £20. Aged 16 and under shoot foc.
